Day 3
.

On Tuesday, we left the hotel after a very delicious breakfast and some very inspiringing words from Marc Scalzi. We traveled one hour up into the mountains above Telaube Honduras. We continued up a steep winding gravel road that has not seen very much traffic. We were going to see a village whose people are almost isolated from the outside world. They use beasts of burden and have none of the amenities that we take for granted. They are ruled by the sun, as this there only light. They came to see the medical team with every ailment. They had urgency in their eyes and their voices, as if they might never have this chance again. Three hundred fifty-seven souls were seen by the medical team, with Jesus presiding over every word and act.

All manner of diseases were seen. These included parasites seizure disorders, poor dental hygiene, juvenile arthritis, scabies, dehydration, and malnutrition. We were saddened that we had so little supplies to meet all their needs. These people are just a microcosm of the many in the world who need rescued from the trap that the devil holds. We were filled with saddness and had a deep conviction that the Great Physician needs to come and heal this world soon.

Back at the meeting site, we celebrated Dr. Howard's birthday.  We also thanked him for all the years of service he has given to our church in Bentonville.

The blessings continued as we listened to inspired words presented to over 200 souls from the lips of Alfredo Cerna. We sang songs of thanksgiving to our Lord on the bus ride home. We were all ready for a good night's rest, so we can do it all over again tomorrow. May God be Blessed.
