Day 4
.
Another 240 people were treated at the clinic today, which totals to approximately 835 patients so far this week. It's so interesting to see the various clinic locations we've been to and how quickly we are able to adapt and get the work done-- despite conditions (hot weather, dust, etc). Today's clinic was in a building that had not been opened in over 10 years, however we sure put it to use!

We're causing quite a stir around here. A local radio station came to the clinic to interview the local pastor about our mission. Before coming down, the goverment was very specific with requirements regarding the types of medications we were bringing. Because the city people have said we've been the best group of people to serve them, we can bring any medications needed and the government won't bother to take a look at them.

We've seen patients with ulcers, sky high blood sugar, staph infections, worms, malnutrition, skin disorders, and unfortunately diabetes is rampid with a fourth of the nation suffering from it. Whatever their condition may be, they are always so friendly and ever so grateful (and also ever so patient with James and I as we attempt to speak to them in Spanish regarding their medication).

Jeff and Nancy's cooking school saw in increase of about 50 people and they are working on educating area trainers. There is a lot of excitement and energy in these classes!

The crusade also went well this evening-- the music is always so wonderful. So many have voices like angels! The attendance seems to be growing every night so praise the Lord!
