Day 3
.
God's presence is truly evident.

The clinic served 207 people today. One woman who was treated was severely depressed. She had lost three family members to cancer and was intensely worried that she and her two daughters would have the same fate. Alfredo, Dr. Fisher, and his wife wrapped their arms around her and prayed. She was so grateful and didn't want them to let go of her. It is no coincidence--the Lord sent her to the clinic to be with us at that time (and vice versa).

Angie and Arden spoke to about 150 students at the Adventist school today. After touring the school, Angie learned that 70% of the students were not Adventists so many of them were hearing the presentation topics (second coming, etc) for the first time. To show their appreciation, Angie and Arden were presented with hugs and lollipops.

The cooking school has been welcomed with open arms as well. The people here are really excited to learn how to prepare the food available to them in much healthier ways and can't wait to hear more throughout the week.

The church has been packed during the evening meetings. Invitations to join us in the evenings have been extended and it's been so nice to shake the hand of a person we just treated in the clinic that day, welcoming them. You can feel the excitement in the music and we know God is with us.

PS: Jeff´s birthday was today! We celebrated together with cake poolside at the hotel after the evening meeting. Also, we thank you for your prayers, as Dr. Bill Howard was feeling better than ever today.
